One of the first big original properties for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is getting a sequel.

Ubisoft is going to premiere the details of Watch Dogs 2 on Wednesday. The publisher dropped a teaser trailer this morning that shows someone thumbing the fictional smartphone hacking software from the original open-world crime game, which emphasizes cracking the network of a connected smart city (read our review). On Wednesday at 9 a.m. Pacific (Noon Eastern), Ubisoft will show off the game in action on its official website. Watch Dogs 2 is one new release that gamers can expect to learn a lot more about next week at the Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show in Los Angeles. The industry is gathering to show off its newest products for a gaming market worth $99.6 billion, and Watch Dogs 2 is one of Ubisoft’s key products as it looks to grow its share of that business.

Ubisoft is relying heavily on Watch Dogs 2 as it is one of a handful of releases it is hoping will help make up for not having a new Assassin’s Creed this year. Even if the game doesn’t ship until the next fiscal period, Ubisoft chief executive officer Yves Guillemot can point to Watch Dogs 2 as evidence that the company will have other big new releases coming soon. This is not a new position for this series considering the company also put a lot of expectations on the first release.

Here’s the teaser:

And hey, maybe that phone contains some secrets about the game that you can crack — or maybe you can just wait until Wednesday.

The original Watch Dogs debuted in 2014, and its sales surpassed 9 million copies, according to Ubisoft. In the lead up to the launch of Watch Dogs, Ubisoft continually told investors that it was aiming to show off its prowess at launching new franchises. It debuted as the best-selling new property in Ubisoft’s history and led the publisher to what was then a record quarter.
