Watch ‘I Am Street Fighter’ — the beloved fighting-game franchise’s 25th anniversary documentary

Over the weekend, Capcom released I Am Street Fighter, the 25th anniversary documentary, on YouTube. This is the first time the video is available online.

The documentary covers the development, release, and fans of the series and especially of Street Fighter II, which brought fighting games into the forefront of arcade and gaming culture in the early 1990s. The film is 72 minutes long and features interviews with Capcom developers and competitive gamers from the fighting-game community.

Prior to this wide release, Capcom only bundled I Am Street Fighter in the $150 Street Fighter 25th Anniversary collector’s Set.

Video company Area 5, which comprises many former members of the 1UP Show team from 1UP.com, produced the documentary. Here are some of the more interesting and bizarre things that went on behind the scenes during filming.
