Game Informer has shown off the national gaming-magazine’s cover for its December issue, and it’s sure to get Tolkien fans in a tizzy. This is our first look at Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, an open-world action game for current and next-gen consoles.
Shadow of Mordor takes place between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. It focuses on the story of Talion, a ranger who journeys to Mordor to get vengeance for the death of his family.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will come out for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Warner Bros. has not announced a release date.
