Nintendo will broadcast another one of its Direct livestreaming events tomorrow morning.
The company just announced a Nintendo Direct for 10 a.m. Eastern tomorrow. It will focus on both the Wii U home console and the 3DS portable device. This is the first major Nintendo event since the Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show in early June.
Tomorrow’s livestream will broadcast on Nintendo’s website.
Nintendo often uses these Direct streaming web shows to make big announcements and reveals. At the most recent E3, the company opted to forego a traditional media presentation and instead broadcasted a Nintendo Direct.
The publisher says it will discuss “previously announced” games for its consoles. That likely means Nintendo will talk about the titles due out for the Wii U and 3DS before the end of the year. For the Wii U, that includes The Wonderful 101, Donkey Kong Country Returns: Tropical, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, and Super Mario 3D World. For the 3DS, that means Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Pokémon X and Y, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
Nintendo is currently trying to boost its profits. Wii U limped through the first half of 2013 and only sold 140,000 units worldwide due to a drought of software. Chief executive Satoru Iwata is hoping that the publisher’s second-half lineup will prop up the console and generate significant revenue.
