Developer CD Projekt Red showed off The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt this morning at Microsoft’s pre-Electronic Entertainment Expo  press event this morning. This is the newest installment in its popular action role-playing game series, and it’s coming out for the Xbox One.

The Witcher 3 takes place in a open-world, a first for the series. While it won’t release exclusively on the upcoming Xbox One, CD Projekt Red is adding Kinect and Smart Glass support (like showing the user interface on the second screen) for Microsoft’s version.

A short trailer showed Geralt, the witcher of The Witcher, travelling by land (on horse) and sea (on a boat) as he fought a myriad of strange creatures. The Witcher 3 comes out in 2014.
