Joyland

Joyland is a Chinese theme park based heavily (and unofficially) on Blizzard Entertainment’s highly popular Warcraft and StarCraft franchises. Its existence is nothing new, as the creatively bankrupt tourist destination made waves two years ago when this conceptual video (consisting primarily of random stock footage, gameplay from Blizzard games, and what appears to be Disneyland shakycam) hit the Web.

Now we’re reminded that, yes, this place really exists, thanks to a gallery of photos FrancesaO_O posted to Reddit. Joyland is broken up into several themed areas, including Terrain of Magic (aka World of Warcraft World) and Universe of Starship (aka StarCraftland). There’s even a Mists of Pandaria-themed eatery. Each ride has its own Happiness Index, indicating how much enjoyment one should expect on a scale of one to five stars.

Joyland is located in the Changzhou, Jiangsu province and cost approximately $30 million to build according to the Shanghaiist.
