Update: Microsoft is already claiming the problem is fixed, but we’re keeping an eye on this problem.

Microsoft is aware that Xbox Live is experiencing problems.

The company has confirmed what dozens of people on social media are complaining about, Xbox Live is not functioning as normal. This is affecting both Xbox One and Xbox 360, and it is preventing many people from signing into Xbox Live. Other gamers are noting that even when they do get signed in, the service kicks them off. Players are reporting that this outage is preventing them from booting up certain games, and it is also causing the screenshot- and video-sharing functions of Xbox DVR to malfunction.

Here’s what the Xbox Live status website has to say:

“Are you having a tough time staying signed in to Xbox Live? We’re aware of the issue and we have our best on the case. Thanks for being patient while we work to find a fix! We’ll provide an update as soon as we have more information.”

This comes during a crucial week Xbox One as Fallout 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Call of Duty: Black Ops III have all launched in the last seven days. These kinds of releases mean that November is easily one of the busiest times in terms of Xbox Live use. But despite this Xbox Live (and PlayStation Network) have not had any major downtime so far this month.  And while today breaks that streak for Xbox Live, this outage does not seem like a major problem yet.
