Activision is unleashing a new weapon in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for people who bought the its season pass for downloadable content. But many people are reporting issues accessing the firearm.
The AE4 Widowmaker is the first new gun that the publisher and developer Sledgehammer Games have added to Advanced Warfare. But players on Xbox One who own the requisite season pass are claiming that they cannot download and use the weapon. Microsoft has acknowledged the problem, and it says that its engineers are working to correct the issue.

The AE4 Widowmaker comes with the Havoc add-on pack. It’s a “directed energy assault rifle,” which is really just a fancy way of saying “laser gun.” It fires bolts of red energy at enemies, and it looks pretty cool as well.
Anyone who buys the Havoc DLC will get the AE4 when that content goes live in the near future, but Activision is trying to reward season-pass owners by giving it to them early.
