The Xbox One passed an important milestone in the U.K., where it just passed the one million sales mark.

This comes as Microsoft outsold its main competitor, Sony’s PlayStation 4, for three weeks in a row, according to MCV. While many may think the market in Great Britain is small, any victory in the multibillion home console market helps.

Still, the Xbox One hasn’t quite caught up to the PlayStation 4 in that territory. Sony’s newest system passed the one million sales mark back in September.

In the U.S., the PlayStation 4 outsells the Xbox One on a monthly basis. However, Microsoft has temporarily lowered the price of its system from $400 to $350 for the holidays, which has helped triple Xbox One sales.

“We’re seeing fantastic momentum with Xbox One having sold almost 10 million units to retailers worldwide,” said Xbox U.K. marketing director Harvey Eagle according to MCV. “This momentum is reflected in the U.K., particularly over the last three weeks, which is extremely encouraging as we approach the Christmas shopping period.”
