The next system update for Xbox One rolls out today and gives gamers a few niceties.

The May update makes voice messages easier to send via the Xbox One messages app. You can also now exchange messages between Xbox One and Xbox 360 users. Microsoft is also opening up dedicated party chat servers.

You can now also power your Xbox One on or off from the SmartGlass app on your phone. You’ll also get a power-saving mode for your console that takes up less energy but requires you to turn the system on manually before it can receive voice commands.

Microsoft releases one of these updates just about every month, constantly improving the functionality and convenience of its system’s features and menus.
