Microsoft revealed some details about the upcoming October update for Xbox One. The company confirmed that it has spent some time polishing how players navigate around the console’s interface. That primarily includes adding the ability to jump between snapped apps in an instant by double clicking the Xbox button on your controller. Hitting the big guide button twice in quick succession brings up a menu overlay that will let you snap different apps to the side or return to your game without having to go back to the home menu.

Some other big changes coming to Xbox One in the next update include the ability to stream media from a server. This means that you can host video files on a PC in your home and access them directly from an Xbox One connected to the same network. You can also stream live television to the SmartGlass second-screen app.
