Microsoft revealed some details about the upcoming October update for Xbox One. The company confirmed that it has spent some time polishing how players navigate around the console’s interface. That primarily includes adding the ability to jump between snapped apps in an instant by double clicking the Xbox button on your controller. Hitting the big guide button twice in quick succession brings up a menu overlay that will let you snap different apps to the side or return to your game without having to go back to the home menu.

Microsoft had kept a regular monthly update schedule with Xbox One. That’s compared to Sony, which has only updated its PlayStation 4 sporadically. While some people find frequent updates annoying, most gamers seem happy to put up with Xbox One’s patches while they are delivering such meaty improvements.
