Next week sees the return of a rhythm-action classic.
Sony is bringing PaRappa the Rapper 2 to PlayStation 4 on December 15. It’s one of a wave of older games heading to Sony’s latest console, thanks to the machine’s recently unveiled PlayStation 2 emulation. Unfortunately, you’ll need to buy the game again through the digital PlayStation Store, even if you already own the PS2 disc.

PS2 games on PS4 do come with some bonuses, though. They support 1080p, 60 frames-per-second, trophies, and features like Live Broadcast, Share Play, and Remote Play.
PaRappa the Rapper 2 arrives during something of a revival in the rhythm-action genre, thanks to titles like Persona 4: Dancing All Night, LaserLife, and the recently announced Rez Infinite. While PaRappa the Rapper 2 isn’t quite the classic that the first installment on the original PlayStation was, it’ll be interesting to see how it stacks up against these more modern takes on the genre.
