Braid

Braid

In this blog written by Mike Minotti I was flaber gasted to see Braid on here.  However Bryan noted in the comments he would like to hear why I do not think Braid is worthy to be on anyone’s top ten list.  It might rattle you to know why, but then again it is just how I feel about the game personally.

I will admit I bought Braid the first day it come out.  Platformers really have gone by the way side and have not hit the 360 so I was happy to see this come.

Why else would anyone not want to buy this as it is a gem for any platformer fan.  With that being said my dislike didn’t start on day one, but really a week later.

As someone who sits back and thinks about games daily it hit me at work.  So I scowered the internet to find one bad score on Braid.  I did this to prove a point and that is no one talked negative about it.  So I pondered if the same score would be given today as it was first released.

With it being over priced at 1200 MS Points I don’t see a value in it.  As well I think this is when the over priced games really started coming to XBL.

The game it self is great puzzle, strategy & platformer.  I personally enjoyed it really.  However after sitting back and thinking about the game I don’t think it should have received all the high marks.  People can say it is one of the best games to come out, but I can’t pathom why.

A couple things to ask your self before you reply.  Did you buy Braid because of all the hype?  If you own a PS3 & 360 compare it to Lingering in the Shadows on PSN.  Over all I am one for good faith to the fans.  What has this developer who made Braid shown the fans with other then high prices ona  good game that should cost about 800 points?
