OK been a while since I posted anything significant but wanted to put up some of my thoughts on games I’ve been playing and some rants on upcoming E3 predictions.  Alright here we go:

  • Star Force Unleashed if freaking awesome, the force is good with this game, not a big star wars fan but this is bad ass, very suprised but this is a gem, makes me want to be a Jedi

  • RE5 is a rehash RE4 but still an awesome game b/c RE4 was a genre defining game, they just made it more action oriented, story is forgettable and setting is not as exciting but still a buy and numerous play throughs

  • SFIV sucks if you can’t play online and since I have satilite internet that I share with other soldiers no online gaming allowed, oh well guess I’ll get the online cheeves when I get back home

  • DeadSpace is DeadSpace.  Nothing really standsout pretty much straight forward shooter, interesting storyline and a pretty good thrill ride.  (6.5/10)

  • Took advantage of some EB Used game deals and played the following: Frontlines (5.5/10 pretty straight forward shooter, nothing innovative), Fracture (6.0/10 some innovative gameplay but lack of production and story) and Mercenaries 2 (6.5/10 crazy fun, glitched cheeves but lacks depth)
  • My gaming lineup for the rest of the month are the following:  Fear 2 (just started and looks great, finished Fear Files just to catch up on the storyline, can’t wait to get into it this weekend) Dead Rising (played little of it when it came out but gave up on it due to the save systems but giving it another chance due to the sequel coming out) Brothers in Arms (comeon its a WWII game nuff said)
  • Got some sweet deals on Ebay in which I’ll have it sent here to Iraq from home:  Prince of Persia, Left4Dead, Ninjablade all for $90

OK some E3 rants:

  1. Microsoft better bring it, dump the motion control gimmick and concentrate on games and continue in providing full specturm entertainment choices and social outlets on top of the great gaming value the system provides to the masses, obviously its working as month over month your are increasing your sales numbers from previous years, Netflix awesome, Xbox Live User Interface redo awesome, 8 player party chat awesome, now expand on these and this will be another great year
  2. Sony drop the freaking price, 299 is your magic number, software will not sell your system, price will sell your system, give me the same online services and perks as your competitor, right now Micro’s online strategy is kicking your ass and you cannot afford another year of dragging behind your competitor, if you want to brand your system as beyond the beyond than freaking act like it and give me what you have been promising for over 4years now, deliver or fail, oh almost forgot if you are going in the way of a gimmicky motion controller than you definently have your priorities messed up, you haven’t even figured out how to integrate your six axis into something relative and compotent into current gen games and now your trying to mix in a motion control gimmick, give me a break, fire the think tanks that are taking down this slippery slope
  3. Nintendo you have to deliver for the hardcore gamers, for God sakes I traded my Wii for a PSP b/c you were not bringing games I wanted to play, give me something to look forward to, Mario and/or Zelda, no exceptions, a HD Wii would be promising but that might be asking too much from you, as far as online strategy your a big fail so just focus on hardcore gamers and bring us Mario and/or Zelda
  4. Blockbuster Games:  COD Modern Warfare II (Best Game of the Year, #1 seller, Ice is awesome) Halo: ODST (loosing my interest in Halo series but hopefully this game will reinvent it and bring me back in but doubt it since COD is coming out this year) God of War III (looks like a hi-def God of War II but I’m hoping for the best) Bioshock II (awesome but will probably not be as redefining as part I) Assassins Creed II (can’t wait for my double blade kill) Lost Planet II (4player COOP awesome) Splinter Cell (double agent is suprisingly awesome) Final Fantasy XIII (can’t wait but it seems that everyone thinks this is a PS3 game but hello its coming out on 360) Drake’s Fortune (looks promising but only played the demo of part I) MAG (who?) inFamous (crackdown=fun) Crackdown II (please announce this) Max Payne III (fan of I and II) GTA IV download (lost and damn awesome next one awesome) Mass Effect II (be able to play my original character = awesome) Ghost Recon III (I and II was great) Half Life EP III (finish this epic already) Army of Two (great game looks awesome)

  1. Predictions: PSP II (probably trading my red PSP in for DSi to play Phantasy Star Zero and will wait to see if this one does anthing) new Phantasy Star on 360 or PS3 please, Xbox Live Avatar Space for social gaming user space integration, PS3 no price drop, Nintendo catering to soccer moms again, Wii HD, motion control gimmick for 360 and PS3 which is a big fail for both, Microsoft goes handheld, all games are multiplatform and exclusives are not the trend except for 1st party obviously, more emphasis on downloaded content to extend the life of games, new dead or alive, metal gear 4 on 360, bluray player for 360, HOME is disbanded, bungie develops a FPS multiplatform game, biggest will be Final Fantasy VII remake finally arrives and will be multiplatform

Wow I guess thats all I have for now.  A lot to feed off of till E3.  Can’t wait what will be coming out this year till than holla back if you got some beef or if you just want to rant.
