Choices

Choices

Choices in games have always been my favorite gameplay feature, the fact that you control the protagonist fate just never fails to amaze me. That probably why Mass Effect, and Infamous are two of my favorite games. But I never felt that there was anything out of your two good or bad endings, I also never felt that your choices never really matter for example, in Infamous 2 you have the choice to help a side in the final mission that side would continue to attack anyway.

Now I am ensconced with these choices, but something unexpected would be appreciated. Just imagine what would incredible it would be to have ending in Infamous were maybe he destroyed a mammoth city, but before that saved a small island close to it. A mix of the two would be great in any case or genre. I find choices in games to be a very unique mechanic but with many flaws. It seems like the choices are always third thought to the developers, which is the completely right move, i just wish they would separate into big teams and do a huge choice centric game.

This aspect of the gaming world is not an important one, but it sure is one many people like, and should be improved thought the up coming years.
