The Creative Director of thatgamecompany, Jenova Chen, was fairly excited this morning in his post on the Playstation Blog, with the announcement that Journey is PSN's Fastest-Selling Game since the Playstation Store became operational—this includes both first-party and third-party games on the store. Here is some of what Mr. Chen had to say about their success:

After we released Flower in 2009, players sent hundreds of emails about their experience with the game. They varied from a nine-year-old girl to a 65-year-old man, from a marine serving duty overseas, to a soldier returning from Iraq… Those kinds of letters are what drive us at [thatgamecompany] to keep working. And now, the reaction to Journey has been even more overwhelming. We have received more letters from fans in the two weeks since Journey’s launch than we did for Flower over the past three years!

Aside from the praise Journey has received as a game, the music, composed by Austin Wintory, has also garnered favor amongst fans. John K of San Bruno said, "It's so relaxing, I wish they'd make the music available. I think I'd be able to fall asleep to it." Well, due to the overwhelming support for Journey, the soundtrack will become available on April 10 on both iTunes and the Playstation Store. A limited release of a CD soundtrack is planned, but has no confirmed date so far.
