Killing Zombies for Kids

Killing Zombies for Kids

If every bullet fired into a T-Virus infected zombie could go towards helping a sick child, the world would be a much better place. In Syracuse, New York, a few real-life mavericks of the control pad are trying to make this idea a reality with the 2nd Annual Benefit Evil Online Charity Marathon. For 56 hours, the Benefit Evil team will navigate through the nightmarish world of the Resident Evil franchise of games, collecting donations and trying to get the word out about their cause. The marathon supports Childs Play Charity which donates toys and games to ailing children in hospitals all over the country. There will be a live webcast at www.benefitevil.com for all three days of the event, so that all those donating or wishing to interact with the crew can do just that in all of its caffeine and energy-drink fueled glory. It starts at 2 p.m. EST on October 7th, 2011 and will last until 10 p.m. EST the following Sunday. This year’s goal is $5000, which is a little over double of what last year raised, so get infected with a good cause for staying up late and donating your hard-earned pesetas!
