With this coimg out in september and because this game speaks for it self. I thought I would hope to put this out there in case anyone was on the fence to get it our not. If your a comic person this may be the only other title you want to look into since you still have to wait for DC Universe On-line.
This game has 24 characters to start playing with from the start. As we do not know all 24 right now we do how ever know the first 20 plus the gamestop pre-order exclusive. The list is as follows:
Spider-Man, Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain American, Hulk, Human Torch, Invisible Woman, The Thing, Mr. Fantastic, Thor, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Storm, Songbird, Iron Fist, Deadpool, Green Goblin, Venom, Jean Grey, Gambit and Juggernaut.
With this list of characters one can only speculate who will finish this roster. However thanks the Marvel Fans picking apart pictures and trailers down to the tinyest detail a few have come up with great guesses on who could be next. Some of the fans have seen a picture with Penance being playable. Then again some have caught the name Ms. Marvel named right along Invisible Woman during in text game play. One of the others that keeps getting named is Iceman, but we will see if any or all of these are going to come true. I have to hand it to the members at www.HeroHQ.com for coming up with some amazing finds and just hope it pays off for the rest of us gamers. How ever I am sad that Ghost Rider may not be in this game this time around.
As far as the way you get to play it looks awesome. I honestly have not played this game like everyone else who works for some large scale media outlet. With all the trailers of game play it makes me wish this game was coming out sooner. The gem of this game is not the fusions, but we will get to those later in this. This gem is easily the Multi-player that happens during the destructible enviroments. Where else are you going to truely geek out on comics and bust stuff up with friends.
One of the main parts that Vicarious Visions wants us to focus on if Fusions. A fusion is where you combine one players powers with another players powers. So if you take a total 25 characters if you pre-order of course this has been said to contain 250 different fusion combinations. So far one of the fusions that keeps in my mind is what I want to call the spiked hampster ball. I don’t know the name of it, but the fusion is with Songbird as she puts a spiked energy sheild around Juggernaut while he steam rolls over everything. This is just one of many in the game, but don’t worry you may find one even better then that if you play the game.
