The Big Ones This Holiday Season Part 1

The Big Ones This Holiday Season Part 1
During the summer gamers were begging for something, anything to play just to fill the sometimes empty hours in that hot hot sun. But with the chill of winter approaching, so is a flood of great games coming as well. The truth is will you have enough snow days to stay home from work/school and play these games or will you have to skip out on vacationing with the family to catch up on this extensive list? Well nonetheless I'm here to give you a list of the biggest games coming out so that maybe you can decide what to prioritize first:

First on our list is the long-awaited sequel to the award-winning 2009 game from Rocksteady Studios, Batman: Arkham City. The folks at Rocksteady did a amazing job of re-innovating the Batman video game series in a whole new way. Bringing back the elements gamers loved from the first game and adding a larger more richer atmosphere with a whole group of the biggest and baddest villains from the Batman universe (they even added the Mad Hatter, go figure!) Coming out today, October 18th, in North America for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC (Wii U version coming eventually) Batman: Arkham City is definitely a great game that any gamer (comic fan or not) should try their hand at!

Next up is the newest game in the Battlefield series, Battlefield 3. Despite the problems with the recent open beta, DICE and EA assure us that when this highly anticipated game comes out October 25th (only a week away!) that we will be playing a finished game. Using the Frostbite 2 engine, Battlefield 3 has amazing, realistic visuals and physics matched with great controls that will not only have you enjoying the campaign, but spending hours playing with friends and random strangers in online multiplayer (up to 24 players for 360 and PS3, 64 for you PC gamers!)

Third on our list this week is also the third adventure of the treasure hunter, Nathan Drake, in his quest to find the "Atlantis of the Sands". Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is coming out November 1st exclusively for the PS3. Featuring the seamless transition between beautiful cutscenes and actual gameplay, this title will keep you on the edge of your seats as you feel the emotional bonds develop between Drake and his mentor, Sully.

The final game on our list this week is the next HD remake to come to your home consoles: GoldenEye 007: Reloaded. This is not only the amazing single player game and multiplayer action that you experienced on the Nintendo 64, but in rich HD visuals and running at 60 frames per second! Players new and old to this game will be able to make new gaming memories that will last with them a lifetime.

From busting up bad guys with your batarang to shooting up friends in amazing multiplayer to finding lost treasure in a cinematic-like to relive old memories and making new ones, we have a long list of games coming out this fall and winter. Be back next Tuesday as I give you Part II of the list of the biggest games coming out. Hopefully this will help you decide what to play first and foremost because we sure do have a lot of great games coming, you better decide now! Until next week, good gaming to everyone!
