Another year another V.G. all-star game. Each year I become less and less interested with such an event. Over the last few years its popularity has fallen. Long gone are the days of the nintendos vs the genenites. When heroes such as Metroid would stay in the entire game, blast after blast till an arm would fall off. Sure there were low marks. For example in 95 when all-star Yoshi began to eat and crap out each baseman. Forever banned from the game, he left world 1-1 with a lifetime supply of fertilizer before being sent to the underworld of 2-1 for his crimes.
Now its all about the sponsors, the dlc, the fact that ICO 3 always turns down an invite to show up. Last year a nearly retired Link stormed a castle and by the end 3 final fantasy characters along with Ash from Pokemon had relieved him to make a sponsor pleasing appearance. The nintendo division leaves half their team in japan if the games are in north america and their starting lineup is always less than steller. The P.S. squad has poor communication and allows to many steals. Meanwhile the 360ers only have one thing going for them, that being the fact they just wave their hands around the whole time in front of themselves shouting the word "KINECT" in a loud obnoxious manner. Confusing their opponents for the win hopefully before they overheat and run out of lives.
Perhaps a serving of warm delicious Vitas will make it worthwhile in the end. That and V.G. sounds like a disease. Sooooo…….
