Web development platform Wix.com announced it has integrated its newsletter and promotional product with Facebook. Starting today, users can create, send, and share their newsletters and updates through Wix ShoutOut to ads on Facebook.

More than a year ago, Wix announced Wix ShoutOut as a way to enable users to create digital marketing collateral. But while the service lets you create content, it wasn’t possible to maximize distribution and reach. The company’s chief marketing officer Omer Shai said in a statement: “Over a million people have already used Wix ShoutOut to create and share beautiful content. Now they’ll have the option to make their valuable content work for them multiple times and promote their business even further.”

Users will first create their collateral through Wix ShoutOut. Then, they can customize ready-made styles with their own text, images, and video, or just use any content from Wix’s media library. The end result is a Facebook Page-postable ad with the target audience automatically set through Facebook’s Lookalike targeting protocol. While using Wix ShoutOut is free, users will have to pay for the ads on Facebook.

This is the first integration Wix has made through Wix ShoutOut, but the company tells VentureBeat that it’s looking to develop “the industry’s only [do-it yourself] one-stop shop for a small business where users can not only create a beautiful website but also manage and grow a business.”

If you’re looking for a quick and simple method to build out your web presence, Wix is hoping that you’ll use its platform. And to make it more enticing, if you’re trying to do some social media marketing, the Facebook Ads partnership could help. Facebook is more than happy to integrate with Wix — after all, the more opportunities there are to get people to buy ads, the better its quarterly performance will be.

This is the second product release by Wix in the past week. Last week it unveiled an online webmaster training course called WixEd as another resource to aid those looking to build a better web presence.
