Zannel, a new mobile start-up based in Menlo Park isn’t saying much about what it is doing, but said it has raised $6 million from U.S. Venture Partners and Palomar Ventures.

From the backgrounds of its founders, it looks to be doing something in the mobile interactive content area.

The company said in a statement that its team, led by chief exec Adam Zbar, helped build InfoSpace Mobile, and thus it has experience building the “largest mobile media platform in North America, delivering over 100 million ringtones, graphics and other media across tier 1 and 2 US and EU carriers.”

The company says it will launch in the near future. Read the company’s statement here for the full bio details on the participants, and check out the company’s quirky site, led by a flying pig logo.

Palomar’s Garrett did say that Zannel is developing a “key piece of infrastructure that will redefine how content is consumed and shared across devices.”
