Alcatel unveils its first Windows 10 phone for $140 at T-Mobile

Hong Kong-based TCL Communication today revealed the Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL with Windows 10 Mobile, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The five-inch handset will be sold exclusively as a postpaid option by T-Mobile in the U.S.

First leaked in the late summer / early fall of last year, the entry-level device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, with its 1.1GHz quad-core CPU, and boasts a rather conservative 720 x 1280 resolution. Memory is configured as a 2GB RAM module coupled with 16GB of storage (which can be doubled via microSD card).

The LTE-capable phone, which has an Android-powered twin of the same name, contains a nonremovable 2500mAh battery. Its two cameras are of the eight-megapixel and two-megapixel variety, for rear and front respectively.

The Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL with Windows 10 Mobile is slated to roll out across T-Mobile’s channels “in the coming weeks,” at a nonsubsidized price of $140.
