Apple fans in Germany can now trade in their old iPhones and receive store credit worth up to $315 (€230), thanks to Apple’s iPhone trade-in program.

After launching its iPhone trade-in program across the U.S. last year, Apple has brought the program to a number of additional countries, including the U.K., India, France, Canada, and now Germany.

The environmentally conscious program supports every iPhone model from the iPhone 3G to the iPhone 5. The amount of credit customers receive depends on the model and the functionality of their device (it must power on). The credit you receive from trading in an old iPhone is only valid when used to purchase a new iPhone device.

In addition to getting some cash toward the purchase of a new iPhone, the benefit of the program is knowing the company will properly recycle your old hardware. Apple operates the trade-in program in a partnership with recycling firm Brightstar.
