Apple debuts ad shot entirely on iPhones

Apple isn’t done celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Mac.

On January 24, the actual anniversary day, the company updated its website with a video and interactive timeline celebrating the 1984 device that started it all — and all the Macs that came after it. But the Cupertino-based gadget maker also spent the day filming a short movie (spanning 10 countries and five continents) about what people around the world are doing with Apple products.

At the end of the 90-second ad comes the revelation: The film was shot entirely on iPhones in a single day. (And it was edited on Macs, naturally.)

Instead of paying for a Super Bowl ad like rival Microsoft, Apple opted to debut its “1.24.14” video online Monday morning. You can give it a watch below:
