Enterprise cloud storage startup Box has added much-welcome Android support to its OneCloud solution that keeps files synced even when using third-party apps, the company announced today.

The OneCloud solution helps solve one of the most annoying problems with mobile files — if you create or edit a document on your phone, it can be a chore to make it accessible to others wanting to see it on the desktop. OneCloud solves this by giving third-party providers a framework for syncing with a Box account inside the app. For example, if I edit a PDF using iAnnotate, OneCloud makes it possible to access an updated version of that document through Box.

OneCloud launched on iOS in late March and quickly added 15 more mobile apps that supported it. Now it will have Android support, which is important because Box projects that more than 50% of its users are on Android.

“Android is huge for us,” Box VP of platform Chris Yeh told VentureBeat. “Growing our platform is one of the most important aspects of our company now.”

The OneCloud solution will start with an impressive 50 Android app partners today, including Breezy, Docusign Ink, Fetchnotes, and Dolphin Browser. Only 11 of the Android apps in today’s announcement also have iOS app integration, so many of these are new apps. Take a look at the list below to see all of the third-party apps that will offer OneCloud integration:
