Recipe browsing app Yummly made its Android debut today after amassing 3.5 million downloads on iPhone and iPad.

The company said it had tailored the new app to showcase “signature Android features and design philosophy” and worked to optimize for the myriad of Android device screen sizes.

Yummly claims its iOS apps “have been the #1 free recipe apps since their respective launches over the last 12 months.” The company, which is backed by First Round and Intel Capital, also touts “15 million monthly unique visitors” across mobile and web.

On iPhone, Yummly’s app ranks just outside of the top 10 food and drink apps in the U.S. App Store, according to app tracking service App Annie. Yummly’s iPad app currently holds the #1 spot among food and drink apps in the U.S.
