Microsoft’s Surface RT tablet has been spectacularly unsuccessful, with Microsoft announcing yesterday that it is taking a $900 million hit on the product.
But that doesn’t mean Microsoft is going to give up trying to sell you one. It just lowered the cost of RT tablets by $150 so they now retail at $350. And today is released a new ad that favorably compares the RT tablet to Apple’s iPad.

The new video shows an iPad and a Surface RT tablet side by side. As the Surface RT shows its features, a voice that sounds like Siri comments that the iPad can’t do that.
For example, when the Surface connects to an external keyboard, “Siri” says, “Oh snap, you have a real keyboard too? This isn’t going to end well for me, is it?”
