Roku beat Google to the U.K. with its own streaming stick. Now, Google may finally launch the Chromecast in U.K. retail stores on Wednesday.

Evidence is piling up that Google’s Chromecast will make its debut in Europe on March 19. First, a leaked screenshot from the Dixons retail chain was revealed by Android Police. Now, the Guardian is backing up these claims with an additional, anonymous source.

Google’s plans to launch the Chromecast in the U.K. have so far been delayed by a whopping eight months. The delay lasted so long that Google Play competitor Roku managed to launch in the U.K. on March 5 with its own clone of the device. Google has yet to officially confirm its plans and did not immediately respond to VentureBeat’s request for comment.
