In many ways the porn industry has shaped much of what became the home movie industry, then the web itself and now it’s focusing on a new hot property: the iPhone 3G, according to Time.

But with the entirety of the Internet in the palm of your hand, porn will find a way into the device whether Apple likes it or not. In fact, I’ve already seen one such erotic app on someone’s unlocked iPhone recently. I’ll spare you the lurid details, but lets just say it involved the multi-touch screen.
It won’t be long before we see the devices with “moan tones” (erotic ringtones) and erotic videos built just for the iPhone 3G — which will still have no Flash video capabilities. The faster 3G network speeds will allow for porn on the go on a device with an already sexy 3.5 inch screen.

And in the rest of the world, even more creative uses for porn on the iPhone may pop up. Perhaps we’ll see dirty text messaging, which as Time points out is already a fairly sizable industry in Europe.
If people thought erotic messaging was good before, wait until they see it with a threaded conversation view.
Apple would never admit it, but you could bet that if it opened the iTunes movie store to include porn, that would be a big seller. Is Apple being too prude or just prudent?
After all, think about the children.
