We heard a lot of about mobile shopping as Cyber Monday rolled through. Many flocked to their phones and tablets to grab the good deals, whether they were near a computer or not. Cyber Monday hit an all time high of $1.25 billion spent, and PayPal reported seeing record differences between mobile purchases last Cyber Monday and this.

When you think mobile, you think of being on the go. You suddenly stop and realize you forgot to buy that dress before the Rue La La sale ends. So you grab your phone, order the dress and are then on your way again, back to your busy life. But what comScore found is that 56 percent of those using a smartphone to make purchases do so from the comfort of their own home. This is important because it shows an element of trust between the consumer and the phone. Even though the familiar computer is right by, many smartphone users will still grab for the phone to buy.

E-commerce, especially on the tablet is aesthetically pleasing as well. Sites are tailoring their look and feel for the mobile device, and new products like Google Catalogs make it more fun to window shop.
