More iPhone nano rumors, this time from a source that’s been right in the past

More iPhone nano rumors, this time from a source that’s been right in the past

The iPhone nano, which may or may not be the real name for a product that may or may not be real, is front and center of the Apple rumor mill again today. Unlike last week’s rumor, which came from a questionable source, today yields the same rumor from a source that’s been right in the past. iPhone case manufacturer XSKN has a listing for an “iPhone Nano” case on their website, as MacRumors point out.

It was just last year that a case XSKN unveiled in May showed what the iPhone 3G (which wasn’t released until July) would look like. Not only that, but in September, the company showed off cases for the then-unreleased fourth generation iPod nano (iPod — not iPhone), which again, turned out to be accurate.

So that’s two big product launches where XSKN’s cases have served as solid indicators of upcoming devices. One big difference here is that there is no image of the case on the site, just the name. But last week’s leaked images were of a XSKN case. Either the company knows something about an iPhone nano, or it’s taking a pretty big bet that one will be coming.

There have previously been iPhone nano rumors in June and August of this year.

With Macworld just weeks away, no other news of an iPhone nano has been leaked. MacRumors’ Arnold Kim has also heard that Apple may have delayed some of its Macworld plans — which makes sense given that chief executive Steve Jobs will no longer be giving the keynote address. So you probably shouldn’t expect an iPhone nano at Macworld, if you expect one at all.

Update: A bit more about the rumored iPhone nano.
