While it may not be that much faster now, the Dolphin Browser still has many more features and takes an innovative approach to browsing.
Unlike Android, where the Dolphin Browser app was built from the ground up, the iPhone version of the app is actually built on top of Safari. It uses Safari to render and display content, but adds in other awesome features that make it useful and surprisingly fun.

The features that separate the Dolphin Browser from Safari and other iPhone browsers like Skyfire and Opera Mobile include tabbed browsing, gestures for navigation, a webzine feature that makes it easier to read content from your most visited sites, a sidebar for accessing bookmarks, a desktop mode for switching between desktop and mobile site views, and a smart address bar that better predicts your URL.
Dolphin Browser developer MoboTap recently got a vote of confidence when it raised $10 million in first-round funding from Sequoia Capital, with participation from Matrix Partners.
