T-Mobile may have outed itself as one of the U.S. carriers that will sell the new Amazon phone, which — by all reports — will be introduced at an event in Seattle June 18.

The “Un-carrier” had scheduled its own press event down in Los Angeles on the same day, June 18, leading some to wonder if the two events were somehow related.

Now that T-Mobile has announced it’s moving its L.A. shindig up to Seattle, the likelihood that T-Mobile will be at least one of Amazon’s carrier partners goes way up.

T-Mobile released a statement to the press saying its moving the event for the convenience of reporters: “We heard a lot of journalists were planning to cover one or both events remotely, or send people to two places on the 18th. What a pain!”
