The iSketchnote platform gives digital life to your paper creations

It’s always been a struggle to transfer your paper art to digital formats. You can take a picture of an image, but you can’t easily continue to work on it as a digital file. That’s why the iSketchnote was born.

The iSketchnote platform was one of the more clever ideas I saw at the 2015 International CES, the big tech trade show in Las Vegas this week. You can use the device to transfer paper drawings to your iPad.

The iSketchnote platform comes with a writing slate. You put a regular piece of paper on top of it, and then start drawing with a special pen. The sketches and notes are immediately transferred in a vector graphics format to the iPad. As you draw, the image appears in real-time on the iPad screen. You can also enhance the image by using your finger to draw on top of the image on the iPad screen. The slate comes with a leather case that you can use for carrying it with your iPad. The slate has a coating that makes it scratch-resistant and holds the paper in place. The pens are light and require no batteries.

The iSketchnote comes from iSkn, a French startup that was displaying at the Eureka Park startup section of CES. The iSketchnote pack will cost $180 with free shipping, two pens, the slate, and a leather cover. It will be available early this year, and you can pre-order it now.
