After vowing to cap surge prices during the Blizzard of 2015 — known elsewhere as #Snowmageddon2015 and Winter Storm Juno — ride sharing services like Uber have been forced to suspend their offerings altogether in New York City and Connecticut, as well as parts of New Jersey.
The suspension arrives with little surprise, as New York Mayor Bill de Blasio ordered an indefinite road, school, and park shutdown earlier today.
