You haven’t really heard the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive” until you’ve heard it performed by The Electric Knife Orchestra.

Built by Neil Mendoza, a British artist now living in Los Angeles, the system consists of six machines that control a total of 16 knives and 1 meat cleaver. According to a description published by the Creative Applications Network, the system includes, among other things, one Arduino and a Jacob’s Ladder, with two of the knives powered by a neon sign transformer. Mendoza also designed the machines himself.
