We’re looking for an ambitious reporter to help lead our pioneering coverage of bots, messaging, and AI.

VentureBeat is launching a Bots Channel to provide a 360-degree view of the industry ecosystem surrounding bots. Speaking broadly, bots are transforming the way we check the weather, book travel, and shop for gifts. They’re also making their way into corporations by providing conversational interfaces for enterprise software and increasing communication and collaboration across multiple apps. Moreover, they could one day be used to help manage so-called smart cities.

As VentureBeat’s bots reporter, you’ll help lead and define our daily coverage of bots. You’ll be responsible for covering breaking news, coordinating and writing reviews, and developing and maintaining key industry contacts relevant to bots.

You’re already familiar with bots and chatbots, WeChat and Messenger, and the difference between consumer-facing bots and those used in business operations. You love innovation and have 2-3 years journalistic experience and can write on deadline in a fast-paced online newsroom.
