Late last year, TechCrunch heard from three sources that Apple was working on a touchscreen device that would feature a 7 to 9-inch screen. So while this is close to that range, it technically doesn’t reside within it.
All of this is of course still fairly flimsy, and perhaps even more so because Apple certainly has the ability to kill products on a whim — even those already in development. But it’s fun to imagine such a product, isn’t it?
