Twitter confirms its iOS and Android apps will show more details from websites in tweets

Twitter announced today it has improved Summary Cards on its iOS and Android apps in a way that includes more details about web content in user timelines. You’ll need to update the Twitter app in order to see the change, although the wording suggests not everyone will have this feature right from the get-go.

What users will see is when there’s a link in a tweet, expanded details will be displayed, presumably in an attempt to give users a better idea about what’s on that linked page without their having to expand the tweet.
