Today, Capcom Special Advisor to Super Street Fighter 4 Seth Killian introduces us to Juri, one of the new faces in the World Warrior lineup. Unlike T. Hawk and DeeJay, she doesn't have a Super Street Fighter 2 background for players to look into. No problem, though — Killian gives us the inside scoop on the versatile (and limber) fighter. Read on to see what the SF expert likes about the newest addition to the series and what her potential weaknesses are.

On what he likes about Juri:

Seth Killian: Juri is probably one of the most versatile characters. She's very dynamic with a lot of movement — that's one of my favorite things about her. She's a threat from up close, she's a threat from mid-range…even from across the screen with her dive kick. She doesn't hit that hard, so you sort of have to string together a few guessing games.

Creative players who like to try new things will have a lot of fun with her. But it's not like she's going to get in your face and land one giant combo that ends your whole life. So it's not like she's going back and forth waiting for her one big opportunity. With Juri, you're going to need 3…4…5 opportunities in a round before you can kill someone. But you have a lot more options to create those opportunities.

She's a very mobile character, with a lot of interesting options from different ranges — she's just creative with a lot of different moves and setups.

Her fireball is particularly interesting. You can sort of hold it and surprise people or do trick setups with it.

On the troubles Juri might face:

SK: Still TBD but basically, she'll have trouble with characters that hit hard. She has slightly lower health than some of the other characters, so she takes slightly more damage. So characters like Sagat or Zangief — well, she might be able to keep Zangief away — but those who are mobile enough to get close to her and hit really hard are going to be rough for Juri.

Ryu is able to do a lot of damage off some of his setups — he and Sagat can do pretty juicy damage off an uppercut — so Juri, because she has to take more chances, is at risk to get hit more. Characters that can make the most off of one hit will be her hardest opponents.
